The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australia is now inviting applications for the Australian Award Scholarship 2023-2024. This fully funded opportunity is available for all international students from around the world to pursue their studies in Australia for up to four years.
Applicants from Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions, as well as universities, can apply for this program. The main focus of the awards is on sectors that support Pakistan in achieving its Sustainable Development Goals, including empowerment of women and girls, water security, agriculture, infrastructure, and inclusive economic development.
To be eligible to apply for this prestigious scholarship program, prospective students must satisfy the requisite English language proficiency requirements by taking either IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE examinations. - Be at least 18 years old on 1 February of the year of commencing the scholarship.
- Be a citizen of a listed participating country and currently residing in that same country.
- Not hold or be applying for Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or any visa to live permanently in Australia.
- Not married, engaged, or partnered with someone who is eligible to hold either Australian or New Zealand citizenship/ permanent residency.
- No current serving military personnel.
- Rejected if previously received a long-term Australia Award unless they have resided outside Australia twice as long as time spent inside it.
- Have satisfied additional specific criteria set by the Program Area or their government.
- Meet admission requirements of related institution where award is intended to undertake.
- Satisfy all requirements to hold a Student Visa from the Department of Home Affairs.
- Not apply for a program beneath an already achieved academic level (e.g. Master’s degree when possessing Ph.D.).
- Acknowledge having any connection or relationship to staff from Program Areas/ managing contractors.
