WHAT is ecosoc youth forum 2022?
The Economic and Social Council Youth Forum (ECOSOC) will be held on 19 and 20 April 2022 in a virtual format. The Forum will provide a platform for young people to engage in a dialogue with Member States and other actors on concrete actions to build COVID-19 and move forward with the implementation of the Decade of Action’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Youth Forum will discuss ECOSOC and the UN High Level Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in 2022 on “Building a better reconstruction of COVID-19 while making progress in the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda”. It will also assess progress in quality education (SDG4), gender equality (SDG5), underwater life (SDG14), terrestrial life (SDG15) and partnership to achieve goals (SDG17).
Who can get ecosoc youth forum 2022 ?
The Youth Forum was convened by the President of ECOSOC and organized by the Ministry of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the Office of the Deputy Secretary-General for Youth (OSGEY) in cooperation with the International Organization for Youth Development. Agency (IANYD) and co-sponsored by the Main Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) and the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organizations (ICMYO) with technical contributions from youth organizations related to the Forum’s theme.
Youth leaders from all over the world have the opportunity to communicate with government representatives, youth delegates, legislators, and other relevant stakeholders in civil society and the private sector. They will contribute to the evaluation of the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the SDGs and the formulation of policy recommendations at the HLPF and other intergovernmental fora, such as the UN Summit on Transforming Education, the UN Conference on Oceans, the Development Finance Forum (FfD), enough.

HOW to get it ?
The two-day event will include plenary sessions, interactive thematic and regional discussions. Young people are encouraged to share best practices, lessons learned, solutions such as creative and innovative ideas with Member States, other youth stakeholders and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals examined by the Economic and Social Council and the Political Committee on high level.
