International applicants may apply for the UAL International Postgraduate £50,000 Scholarship and the ISH convenience grant. Participants who meet qualification standards can apply for up to four grants at the University of the Arts London.
Scholarships in the UK cover the full tuition fee for international postgraduate students. It is expected that this scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, as well as accommodation in one of UAL’s halls of residence. Additionally, it will contribute to living expenses.

Along with the application, please include a statement of interest. Applicants must limit their statements to 350 words per question:
- How the scholarship will make a difference in the candidate’s life.
- Can you tell me how the applicant intends to use the scholarship and how it will benefit them in the future?
- Address the challenges faced by your region.
- Please describe how you would endorse the values of social justice and environmental stewardship.
Eligibility Criteria:
An offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s Colleges or Institutes starting in 2022/23 is required:
- There must be a Grad Dip, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc qualification available as part of your program.
- Applicants are not eligible to apply if they already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad.
You must ordinarily reside in one of the low-income economies listed in our list of qualifying countries (see below)
- Evidence such as a copy of your immigration documents, ID card, or formal proof of your address must be included as part of your application.
Or
- When you apply for your scholarship, candidates are asylum seekers in the UK.
- The household income of the applicant must be less than £50,000 (or the equivalent exchange value in the currency of a qualifying country) at the time of application. Visit Oanda Trade Currency Exchange for the latest currency conversion rates.
